Our Small Group ministry at Olivet is relatively new. When we studied The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren as a congregation, we joined into small groups to watch the DVDs and discuss the insights in the book. The joy of a small group experience has spread to the point where approximately half of our adult attendees are now connected with a group.

We really encourage our members to get involved in a small group (otherwise called “cell group” or “house group”) as this is where deeper relationships are made and you will really feel the sense of your church family.  These are the groups in existence at this time, please feel free to ask more about them:

Youth Small Group Meetings

J.O.Y (Junior Olivet Youth) – Grade 6 to 9 Small Group
Every other Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, Jr. youth are invited to gather at the church and share experiences, laugh, eat, study God's Word, and build each other up in Christ. Anyone is welcome to join in the fun!

Bereans (Senior Youth) – Grade 9 to Young Adult Small Group

We meet every other Thursday night 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Pastor Matt's house. It's an atmosphere of relationships and support with a faith challenging topic each meeting.  Prayer and discussion are central to this ministry. The Sr. youth laugh, eat, and learn from God's Word.

Adult Small Group Meetings

• Small Group at Swannell's: We meet every Monday evening at 7:00 pm at the home of Gary & Junette Swannell. We are working our way through a book of Stormie Omartian's called "Power of a Praying Life". 

• Small Group at Johnsons: we meet every Tuesday evening at 7:00 at the home of Bob and Dawn Johnson. We Have a Men's Small group every second Tuesday and a Mixed group on alternate Tuesdays. Having a great time studying the word and how it applies to our lives. 

• Ladies' Small Group: This group is led by Carol Griffiths in her home, and meets every other Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm. we break for summer holidays after May 31

• Small Group at Foldens: We meet on alternating Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm at the home of Matt and Jen Folden. we break for summer holidays after June 9. stay tuned for our fall study topic.   

• Small Group at the Higginsons: We meet Sunday evenings at the home of Jeff and Shelly Higginsons.
