Sermon Topics

Pastor Bruce will be spending several weeks this month talking about Olivet Baptist Church's vision and strategic plan.  On Sunday, May 11, there will be a special message about Mother's Day and several children and youth are being baptised that day.  It should be a very special service.

KidZone - Mondays - 3:45-5:30pm (except Monday, May 19)

Kids in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 are invited to KidZone Transportation from the two local Meaford schools is provided to the church, and everything is free!  We start the program off with a nutritious snack, then we all get together for some lively songs and a Bible story. After that, we get into small grade-specific groups to talk about the Bible lesson.  Then the kids can choose whatever they'd like to do among a huge selection of stations - crafts, games, board games, homework, quiet time, cooking, and so much more!  To register, please contact us. 

KidZone continues until May 26, which is our Parents Nite.  Our theme this Spring is about celebration as we focus on many holidays such as Hebrew holidays celebrated by God's people since Old Testament times, seasonal holidays, and holidays taken from the church calendar.  God's family always has the best reasons to rejoice:  We know who God is and realize what He has done for us.  At KidZone, we will discover how God's people around the world and throughout time, have celebrated and still celebrate God's gifts to us.

Monday, May 5  - YOUTH MELTDOWN!

Junior & Senior High kids get together for lots of fun games, snacks, a testimony time, prayer, Bible challenges, and a mix and mingle time!  Everyone is welcome, just show up at the church from 7-8:30pm.

Monday, May 12 & 26 -  JOY - youth grade 6-8

Come on out to Matt's for some time to share experiences, laugh, play games and study God's Word.  We meet at 7-8:30pm.

Thursday, May 15 & 29 - Bereans - grades 9-12 plus graduates

Hey Senior High students, College & Career types,  let's get together and share experiences, laugh, eat, play games, study God's Word and build each other up in Christ!  We meet at 7-8:30pm at Matt's house.

Monday, May 19 - Youth Room Painting Event 

Come on youth!  Let's personalize our meeting room by painting it!  Come in your grubby clothes for 2pm.  Adults welcome too and supper will be provided.

Sunday, May 25 - Foalden Tent Party

Year 2 of an annual Tent Party for the entire church congregation!  Come on out after church for barbecued hotdogs and potluck goodies.
